South Indian breakfast recipes – Rava uthappam recipe with peanut chutney- Rava uthappam recipe with peanut chutney – Rava uthappam is traditional South Indian dish. It is made in every house of India. It is super tasty and delicious.

Then let’s see how to make Rava uthappam. Following recipe ingredient estimation is for two people.

Ingredients required :-

2 cup Semolina

1/2 cup fresh curd

1 onion

5 green chilies

2 tomato

coriander leaves

curry leaves

mustered seeds

dry chilies

edible oil

Process of making Rava uthappam – South Indian breakfast recipes – Rava uthappam recipe with peanut chutney –

  1. Take one bowl and add semolina or Rava, curd  in bowl.
  1. Now add water to that bowl and make one thick batter.
  1. Rest this batter for 10 minutes.
  1. After spending 10 minutes check the batter consistency. If batter is too thick then add some water in it. Make batter smooth and finely thick liquid. Now add salt as per taste.
  1. Put non-stick pan on gas and heat up it. Add one table spoon of oil and heat up. Now add musterd seed and curry leaves. Once mustered seeds get cracked spread it to overall pan surface.
  1. Griess pan with tempering made in pan.
  1. Now take cup of batter and spread on pan in round shape as we make pan cake or omelet just like that make uthappam.
  1. Somehow it need to spread to adjust level for equal plainness. Now sprinkle chopped onion, tomato, chilies and coriander leaves on uthappam.
  1. Roast it for 5 minutes on medium flame of gas. Now invert the side to roast another side. Roast each side on pan.
  1. Apply butter or oil on both side and roast uthappam to turn crispy. Repeat same procedure for every uthappam.
  1. Take a mixer jar add roasted peanuts, cumin seeds, salt for taste and grind it with adding some water and make chutney.
  1. Now take one pot, add two table spoon oil in it. When oil get heated add mustered seeds and add curry leaves and dry chilies. Cook this tempering on low flame of gas. Once your tempering is ready add it on peanut chutney and serve it.
  1. Serve it with sauce or chutney you love. This way your Rava uthappam is ready.
