Ingredients required:-

  • 1 bowl of cooked rice
  • 1 cup of fresh curd
  • 3 to 4 Green chilies
  • Curry leaves
  • Garlic
  • Mustard seeds
  • Jira
  • Salt
  • Edible oil

Process of making Curd Rice:-

  1. To make curd rice first we are going to prepare the tadka required for rice.
  1. For that take 1 tablespoon of edible oil into a pan.
  1. Now once the oil gets heated, add 1 teaspoon of mustard seeds, when they get burnt out add 1 teaspoon of Jira.
  1. Now add curry leaves, once this mixture gets one good aroma add green chilies to it. Now cook this tadka well. Green chilies add spice to curd rice.
  1. Now to make curd rice take 1 bowl of cooked rice into a pot, and add fresh curd to rice. Rice should be freshly made and cold. Avoid using leftover and hot rice. It will create acidity problems in your body.
  1. Add earlier made tadka to this curd and rice, add salt as per taste and mix well.
  1. In this way your curd rice is ready to eat.
  1. Serve this rice in a cool state with papad, achaar, or any dry chutney, and enjoy your meal!
